Airbnb, pejt domov! je bila ozaveščevalna in zagovorniška akcija organizacije Danes je nov dan, namenjena zaščiti pravice do primernega stanovanja in naslavljanju negativnih posledic nereguliranega kratkoročnega oddajanja nepremičnin v Sloveniji. Projekt je nastal kot odziv na poglabljajočo se stanovanjsko krizo, zlasti v Ljubljani, kjer je razmah platform, kot je Airbnb, pomembno prispeval k zmanjševanju ponudbe dolgoročnih najemnih stanovanj in rasti najemnin.

V okviru akcije smo javnost informirali o družbenih in okoljskih učinkih kratkoročnega oddajanja, zbirali pričevanja prizadetih posameznikov ter jih predstavljali na interaktivni spletni platformi. Hkrati smo izvajali zagovorniške aktivnosti, pripravili strokovna stališča do predlagane zakonodaje in vzpostavili dialog s političnimi odločevalci z namenom spodbujanja strožje regulacije. Cilj akcije je bil okrepiti javni pritisk za sistemske rešitve, ki bi prispevale k bolj pravičnemu, dostopnemu in trajnostnemu stanovanjskemu sistemu.

Kaj smo dosegli

  • S kampanjo smo odprli široko javno razpravo o vplivu nereguliranega kratkoročnega oddajanja na stanovanjsko krizo.
  • Spletno mesto airbnbpejtdomov.si je obiskalo več kot 2600 uporabnikov, infografike in zgodbe pa so sprožile več sto delitev na družbenih omrežjih.
  • Pripravili smo strokovno stališče do predloga Zakona o gostinstvu, oblikovali konkretne predloge za učinkovitejšo regulacijo ter jih predstavili trem koalicijskim poslanskim skupinam, s katerimi smo vzpostavili ključna politična zavezništva.
  • O kampanji je poročalo več večjih slovenskih medijev (26 medijskih objav, prispevkov in intervjujev), kar je dodatno povečalo pritisk na odločevalce in okrepilo razumevanje problematike v javnosti.
  • Akcija je pomembno prispevala k bolj informirani, vključujoči in argumentirani razpravi o prihodnosti stanovanjske politike.

Airbnb, Go Home! was an awareness-raising and advocacy campaign implemented by the organisation Danes je nov dan (Today Is a New Day), aimed at defending the right to adequate housing and addressing the negative impacts of unregulated short-term rentals in Slovenia. The project was launched in response to the deepening housing crisis, particularly in Ljubljana, where the expansion of platforms such as Airbnb has significantly reduced the supply of long-term rental housing and driven up rents.

Through the campaign, we informed the public about the social and environmental effects of short-term rentals, collected testimonies from affected residents, and presented them on an interactive online platform. At the same time, we carried out advocacy activities, prepared expert policy positions on proposed legislation, and engaged in dialogue with political decision-makers to promote stricter regulation. The campaign aimed to strengthen public pressure for systemic solutions that would contribute to a fairer, more accessible, and more sustainable housing system.

What we achieved

  • The campaign opened a broad public debate on the impact of unregulated short-term rentals on the housing crisis.
  • The website airbnbpejtdomov.si was visited by more than 2,600 users, while infographics and personal stories generated hundreds of shares on social media.
  • We developed an expert position on the proposed Hospitality Act, formulated concrete proposals for more effective regulation, and presented them to three coalition parliamentary groups, with whom we established key political alliances.
  • The campaign was covered by major Slovenian media outlets (26 media articles, reports, and interviews), which further increased pressure on decision-makers and strengthened public understanding of the issue.
  • The action made a significant contribution to a more informed, inclusive, and evidence-based debate on the future of housing policy.
