In 2022, public corporations and other public law entities, the data of which is processed by the Treasury and which are not budget users (including, for example, chambers and student organisations), allocated € 19,39 million to non-governmental organisations.
Remittances by public corporations mostly comprise donations, sponsorships and payments for services rendered (such as counselling, devising analyses, etc.). What is seen as public corporations are corporations that are not budget users, yet they are subject to dominant influence of the State or Municipalities, which are normally their founders. The table below shows 30 public corporations and other public law entities that are not budget users, which have remitted the highest amount of funds to non-governmental organisations, and the number of different non-governmental organisations that have been allocated these funds.
